Meet The Doctors

Dr. Johnna Driscoll, DDS

DR. JOHNNA DRISCOLL, DDS graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1990 and has been practicing in Petoskey her entire career. Dr. Driscoll continues to expand her knowledge of dentistry by taking courses from leading clinicians like Drs. John Kois, Frank Spear and David Hornbrook. She also regularly attends dental meetings sponsored by the MDA, ADA®, AACD and most recently the AADSM (American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine). She feels it is important to educate herself and her team about new materials, techniques and technology so that together, they can provide the best care possible.

Dr. Driscoll is trained and certified by the AAFE (American Academy of Facial Esthetics) and has been a member since 2018 | Levels 1, 2 and 3 for Botulinum Toxins, Filler, Smooth and Lifting threads. She also has a Master Lips Course, Eyes and Course Training to treat TMJ/Orafacial Pain with botulinum toxins. Dr. Driscoll also attended Modern Beauty Con 2022 with top injectors from all over the world.

Dr. Driscoll also travels across the US for training and flies instructors in to have training done in her own office.

On a personal note, Dr. Driscoll has three children: a married daughter in San Francisco along with her first grandson, a son living in St. Ignace and a daughter in school in Harbor Springs. Dr. Driscoll loves living in Northern Michigan, and in her free time, she likes to read, hike, bike, ski and bake cookies for everyone to enjoy.

Dr. Mark Mercer DDS

DR. MARK MERCER, DDS is a Michigan native raised in the Detroit area. He received his Bachelor of Science from Lake Superior State University in 1973 and Doctorate of Dental Science from the University of Detroit in 1979.As a practicing dentist in St. Ignace for over 30 years, Dr. Mercer has extensive training in cosmetic, prosthetic and implant dentistry along with additional training in orthodontics and laser surgery. He focuses on all aspects of family and restorative dentistry, including implant-retained dentures, partial dentures, crowns and bridges.Dr. Mercer is a member of the following associations: the American Dental Association®, Michigan Dental Association, American Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, World Clinical Laser Institute and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Mercer is married to Dr. Johnna Driscoll. They have three children: Eryn, Alex and Julie Marie.

Dr. Mark Mercer DDS

DR. MARK MERCER, DDS, graduated from Lake Superior State University in 1973 and the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1979. He owned a dental office in St. Ignace for 40 years and has been helping his wife, Dr. Johnna Driscoll, by working part-time here for the last 10 years. Dr. Mercer has served as a board member on many non-profit organizations, most recently on the Board of Trustees for Lake Superior State University. Dr. Mercer is a member of the following associations: the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, American Academy of Osseointegration, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Mercer and Dr. Johnna Driscoll have three children: Eryn, Alex, and Julie Marie. He is an avid outdoorsman, and likes to read, golf and go boating.

Marie, Michigan, and a daughter living in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Driscoll loves living in Northern Michigan, and in her free time, she likes to read, hike, bike, spend time with her dogs (a chocolate lab and a bernedoodle) ski and bake cookies for everyone to enjoy.

Dr. William Mason

Meet Dr. William Mason, our dental implant expert. Dr. Mason has placed dental implants since 1989 and has completed over 4,000 successful procedures. He graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1981 and completed his periodontal residency at U of M in 1984. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mason is also a respected educator. He teaches at the Graduate Periodontics Department at U of M and is a frequent dental society meeting lecturer. He even performs surgical procedures at Delta College to give demonstrational instruction to dental hygiene students. Dr. Mason is also an inventor! He developed and patented a dental instrument that makes dental anesthesia more comfortable for his patients. Leena, Registered Dental Hygienist

Leena has over 20 years of experience in the field. She is a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College and has been providing exceptional dental care to patients ever since. Leena's passion for dentistry led her to explore different areas of Michigan. After working here for two summers, she fell in love with Northern Michigan. She and her husband decided to move here permanently in March 2024. Leena is a proud mother of three grown children and two grandchildren and enjoys spending time with her family when she's not providing top-notch dental care to our patients. Her expertise, attention to detail, and friendly personality make her an excellent addition to our team of dental professionals.
